Yearning for Solitude,
Where thoughts and body converge,
In the comfort of my own skin.
Through meditation, yoga, reflection,
Or the allure of a majestic landscape,
Or a quaint object that sparks memory
Transporting me to places of delight and wonder.
In those moments, my thoughts expand
Dreaming takes flight,
And I’m present in the here and now.
Colors surround me,
Gazes linger longer,
Trust in the unexpected,
Connection and expansiveness abound.
Trusting in the unknown,
Mystery and lack of control,
I return to myself,
Full and content.
Where giving is effortless,
Receiving feels like giving,
Engagement is natural and human.
Expression flows from within,
A compulsion to share
Inner worlds and discoveries
Through voice and body.
Reflections in Pioneer Town,
A Wild West film set turned town
Nestled behind Joshua Tree.
